Edmonton, AB — The Edmonton Pro Rodeo will not only officially wrap up the regular 2022 Canadian Professional Rodeo season; it will also kick off the 2023 SMS Equipment Canadian Pro Tour.
Edmonton Pro Rodeo organizers saw the opportunity to increase the added money for the September 23-24 rodeo from $4000 to $8000 per event. The move will attract not only those athletes racing to secure a berth at the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Red Deer, Alberta and The National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada; but it will provide an added opportunity to those competitors who want to get a head start on the 2023 Pro Tour, including the Finals in Armstrong, British Columbia. The exciting move comes as an added bonus to give back to contestants and is sure to shake things up in the standings the final weekend of the 2022 season.
